Top class designers this week revealed their ideas for what soon to be Princess Kate Middleton might wear on the day of her Royal spring wedding to Prince William.
As speculation about dress design, shape and colour Miss Middleton will go for builds in the fashion world, interest in the type and style of shoe that will accompany the dress and be worn by the bride on the day is also reaching an all time high.
But according to sources close to the future Princess, there are not one but four pairs to be made. It may be a pair of fairytale, flat-soled pumps that Kate does her long walk down the isle of the cathedral in before changing into a dainty heels for the photographs. Lunch will then see another change and in her first evening as a married woman, the new Princess may go for a slightly higher heel.

Currently two designers are tipped to be the creators for one of the world’s biggest weddings this year. Georgina Goodman, an Old Bond Street designer has been credited with created an elegant selection, while the younger Aruna Seth, also from London is sticking with a classical curvature and hoping for Kate to remain traditional and understated in her choice.
Kate’s selection of designer and commission will have to ultimately reflect the stately occasion of marrying William. Before his engagement to Kate and as the future King of England, William was one of the most sought-after bachelors in the UK, if not the world. For such a grand, traditional ceremony attended by her future husband’s royal family as well as heads of state from around the globe, choosing the shoes that she will only wear once may have limitations for what goes and what does not.
Being married in a Cathedral also has its restrictions for a modern girl like Kate. She will only be permitted to wear something inside Westminster Abbey that fully covers all of her foot. Shoe designer Seth told the sources this week that Kate always wears a lower heel, and that on a wedding day this choice was a good idea.
When she leaves the Church and is able to relax at little more, Kate will be able to wear a shoe that reflects a bit more of her own personality and style preference. It seems that understated elegance for the state occasion will mostly likely be the order on the day.
